Sensual Bachata Class (Experienced Beginner / Intermediate)

This class is open to Experienced Beginner and Intermediate level dancers who have some prior experience dancing Bachata. Prior approval is required for new participants. For those with little to no dance experience, join us at our Bachata Basic Skills & Drills class on Saturday July 20th!

This Sensual Bachata class will begin with a full body and footwork warmup. You will then learn a combination of footwork to be danced without partners (known as a “shine” or “pasitos”). Next we will move onto learning a combination to be danced with a partner, with a focus on proper technique, clear communication for leaders and interpretation of cues for followers, respectful connection, and musicality. If time allows at the end of class, the floor will be open for you to practice what you have learned in a social dance setting, and you will also have the opportunity to ask the instructors questions. We intentionally keep our class sizes limited so students are able to benefit from individualized attention and practice with instructors, helping you improve your skills with even greater speed.

This event will be held at Dream Academy of Dance (inside Fox Valley Mall) on June 7th, and Soleunique Dance Complex (near the Chicago Premium Outlets) on June 14th & 28th and July 12th, 19th, & 26th.
